Galneryus (ガルネリウス, Garuneriusu)

Today I will post about a rare gem I have found while watching an aime called Mnemosyne. It is a Japanese power metal/ neo classical metal band named Galyneryus. Alsatia and Cause Disarray are used as the OP and Ed for the anime. I love power metal because it has a very unique blend of metal and classical music in it. Not to mention their music are mostly fast paced with beastly riffs and solos that keeps me in high gear (not orgasm) LOL.

Upon listening to their songs, I was instantly hooked to it. wonderful melody and guitar riffs. Not to mention the solos are so so captivating and melodic. It's not like a dead solo that is being played, the lead guitarist Syu plays with such emotion and passion that one could feel it upon listening to his solos. Though not the fastest shredder around, the melody and feel he infuses to his guitar playing makes up for it. Speed isn't everything in this case. His fast solos are in fact very good, not too messy and thrashy that you cant really figure wtf one is playing. Even the keyboardist solos ! HAHAHAHA thats some insane shit right there.

Whether you are a power metal fan or not, one should try listening to it. You may learn to like it. Some people may find it noisy and maybe too messy. To me, thats what music is all about. The riffs and the solos makes or breaks a metal song, but to Galneryus, they have it well covered. Therefore, Galneryus is a band that I will follow on listening through out my life and remain as one of the top power metal bands in my list. Highly Recommended.
