What a hectic day it was on a Sunday as Chingy, BK, Dav, Don and me attended the IT Show 2008 at Suntec City Convention Centre. It was the last day of the show, therefore we expected more people as the various booths are pretty desperate to clear off their stocks at a lowered price than the discounted ones, which amounts to a very very low price.
Main Entrance.
Sign board with a map of all the booths on the level.
Level 1 and 3 has nothing. Only 4 and 6 are filled with goodies. The show was on 2 levels, and we maanged to raid both levels in a short amount of time despite the huge huge and i mean HUGE crowd. It was literally flooded with people, so congested through the paths along the booths that we manged to hit shoulder to shoulder with other visitors. Pretty shitty if you have broad shoulders like me.
Elevator towards the main entrance. Flooded with people.
Donovan was too cool for the camera.
Massive crowd.
More massive crowd.Every booth was like competing for customers, well that isn't really surprising as the competition is stiff in the show. Its like a paasar malam in there. Various representatives of vendors shouting at the top of their lungs in regards to the offers that their booths have. Many of them were also giving out flyers. Some booths had it good by engaging in some cute/pretty and tall booth girls/models to give out flyers. That's a +50% win win for me. LOL. Wanted to take some pix of the models, just that knowing my shy self wouldn't, in the end i just didnt bother to and walked off with a glimpse of some pretty nice candies.
Sony section. The Sony section had it pretty much won due to the sheer space these people conquered in the IT Show. There were obviously more people at the Sony booth than any other booths from what i have noticed. Furthermore Sony had 2-3 booths in 2 levels. Their hot products that got shelled off so damn fast was their Bravia HDTV series. With a huge discounted price, almost 8 out of 10 people had carts carrying their new Bravia HDTV home. Damn, i wish i had some bling to afford one. Even at such a discounted price i cant afford. gg. Vaio series laptops and Cybershot digicam series were doing pretty good. Flooded with people, they had some pretty awesome reps there selling their products, well that's something you expect to see out of a company such as Sony. Disappointingly we didn't see any PS3 being sold. Dont tell me sold out ?! Could be, last day of IT show is pretty risky has some of their stocks could be wiped in the first few days if the bargain was right.
Samsung section. Courts wtf.Samsung section was pretty full on as well. With their assault of well known monitors and HDTV s, the Koreans ain't going down easy. Most of their HDTV were sold out as well when we reached their booth. What a bummer. There was a Courts booth as well. Pretty much wtf. Didn't expect to see them there. I always thought they only sold furnitures. Looks like i need some updating.HAHAHAHA.
Creative section.Boom shakalaka. Creative booth was also invaded with people. Their banner was pretty huge. You could see it across the whole center. They got the audios pretty much covered. Hifi's, headsets, earpieces, microphones, Zen etc.
Playcraft section.Just a random section that sells games. They were displaying on some Xbox 360 and wii games. No love for Ps3 ?
Viewsonic banner.
HOLY SHIT GEFORCE 9600GT !Saw this huge banner, got totally hooked. DAMNIT Geforce 9 series and it was selling for only $240 !!! What a bargain !!!! Didn't bring enough money so didn't get. Besides, Chingy told me old motherboards can't fit it. Dream dashed, money saved, period. LOL.
Basically there were zillions more booths there selling various shit you can think of. Just that, we cant find any booth selling Wacom tablets. Pretty bullshit to me. David and me was very disappointed. But we managed to check out the iMac that we all wanted to buy. $1.5k cheaper than the price we all have scouted for before the show. Awesome deal rite ? In the end didn't buy. Chingy was so into it at first, but soon after he changed his mind and decided to buy at the next IT show which is in 3 months time. The rest of us followed suit. So much for that loli salesperson spamming to Chingy about to deal but not having any in the end. Chingy is evil. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Well at least Don as a rep from our team bought something. A DVD writer and USB port extender for a total damage of about $100. Good on you sicko. LOL. Well we will be looking forward to the next IT show in 3 months, hoping that better deals are there for us when we are prepared to raid them off their selves.
Missed out luxuries:
$78 Sennheiser Headphones.
$19 Logitech gaming microphone.
$2.5k iMac.
$246 Geforce 9600GT.
Possible total damage = $2843
End result damage = $0
I'm a happy and sad person at the same time.
